Christopher Hickman

Registered Mental Health Intern

Multidisciplinary experience across mental health counseling, vocational services, and educational administration.

A steady presence for the hard and the hopeful

I am a multidisciplinary professional with experience in mental health counseling, vocational services, and educational administration. As a registered mental health intern, I provide trauma-informed therapy to adults and children using Trauma-Informed CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive-expressive approaches. My work includes psychosocial assessments, DSM-5 diagnostics, crisis intervention, and developing individualized treatment plans.

I also specialize in vocational support — creating individualized employment plans, assessing vocational functioning, integrating job-search strategies, and building strong employer and community partnerships. I collaborate closely with interdisciplinary mental health teams and provide outreach to help clients overcome barriers to employment.

Across all of my roles, I am committed to empowering individuals through compassionate support, collaborative problem-solving, and innovative strategies that promote personal, academic, and vocational success.
